INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Onions, Diced
  • 4-6 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 2 Celery Ribs, Diced
  • 28 Ounce Can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Pound Fresh Okra, Trimmed And Sliced
  • Paprika To Taste
  • Oregano To Taste
  • Cayenne Pepper To Taste
  • Hot Pepper Sauce To Taste
  • Salt And Pepper To Taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Heat the butter and oil in a large soup pot over medium-high heat.  Add the onions, garlic and celery and sauté until soft.  Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.  Lower the heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
